Disc Vacuum Filter
The disc vacuum filter utilizes the principle of continuous rotational vacuum to achieve solid-liquid separation, delivering exceptional dewatering performance. Robust, durable, and highly stable in operation, it is an indispensable asset in a wide range of applications-from the processing of minerals such as iron ore, copper ore, and coal, to chemical precipitation and sludge dewatering.
Unlike traditional filtration equipment, the machine features a central main shaft fitted with concentric rings of sector-shaped filter discs, each covered with filter cloth. This design allows for a remarkably large filtration area within a compact overall footprint. Consequently, it maximizes water extraction efficiency, resulting in a filter cake with extremely low moisture content.
With years of dedicated experience in separation technology and a solid technical foundation, we have successfully supplied equipment to numerous clients across Southeast Asia, South America, and Europe. Our solutions have consistently helped these clients optimize their processes, minimize waste, and boost their profitability. Our objective is simple: to become your most reliable partner for all your filtration needs.

Working Principle

1. During initial operation, the filter plates, submerged in the slurry tank, are subjected to vacuum, forming a thick layer of particles on their surfaces. The filtrate then passes through the plates and into the distribution head before reaching the vacuum drum.
2. In the drying area, the filter cake continues to be dehydrated under vacuum until it meets production requirements.
3. After drying, the filter cake is scraped off in the discharge area and either slid directly into the fine sand tank or conveyed to the desired location via a belt.
4. After discharge, the filter plates enter the backwash area, where filtered water flows through a distribution head into the filter plates, backwashing the plates and removing any particles clogged in the pores. This completes one full rotation of the filtration cycle.
5. Ultrasonic cleaning: The filter media is cycled for a specified period of time, typically 8 to 12 hours. To ensure the pores of the filter plates remain unobstructed, a combination of ultrasonic and chemical cleaning is used, typically for 45 to 60 minutes. This allows any solids adhering to the filter plates that were not removed by backwashing to be completely removed from the filter media, ensuring high efficiency upon restart.
