Wet-type High-gradient Flat-plate Belt Magnetic Separator

Plate Magnetic Separator is a wet‑type permanent high‑gradient magnetic separator. It is widely used for iron removal and purification of non‑metallic ores such as silica sand, feldspar and kaolin, as well as separation of weakly magnetic minerals like hematite and manganese ore. It features high magnetic field strength, low power consumption, adjustable inclination angle and belt speed for continuous stable operation with high cost‑performance.

The complete machine consists of a frame, permanent magnet plates, an iron-discharge belt, a material feeding device, a rinsing water system, a drive motor, an angle adjustment mechanism, and concentrate/tailings collection hoppers.

Magnetic plate

Features an internal array of numerous NdFeB (neodymium-iron-boron) magnets; the magnetic field strength at the working surface ranges from 6,000 to 14,000 Gauss (customizable).

Iron-discharging belt

Operates in a reverse, upward direction to carry captured magnetic materials away from the magnetic field zone.

Rinsing water

Rinses the separation surface to reduce entrapment; high-pressure water in the discharge zone washes away magnetic impurities.

1. The slurry is evenly distributed by a feeder and deposited onto a belt moving over the surface of an inclined magnetic plate;
2. As the slurry flows down the incline under gravity, weakly magnetic minerals or iron impurities are attracted to the belt surface by a strong magnetic field, while non-magnetic materials flow downward with the slurry into the concentrate collection trough;
3. The belt travels upward in the opposite direction, carrying the captured magnetic materials out of the effective magnetic separation zone;
4. Upon reaching the non-magnetic discharge point, high-pressure wash water flushes the magnetic materials into the tailings hopper, completing the continuous separation process.
