Working Principle Of The Filter

The working principle of the automatic slag-discharging filter is as follows: The filter pump pumps the filtrate into the tank through the inlet pipe, filling it up. Under the action of pressure, solid impurities in the filtrate are trapped by the filter screen above the filtrate, forming a filter cake on the filter screen. The filtrate then passes through the filter screen, into the outlet pipe, and out of the tank, resulting in a clear filtrate.
This increases the filtration resistance and the pressure in the tank. When the pressure reaches a certain level, slag discharge is required. The supply of filtrate to the tank is stopped, and compressed air is blown into the tank through the overflow pipe. This forces the filtrate in the tank into another filter or other container, drying the filter cake. The compressed air is then turned off, the butterfly valve is opened, and the vibrator is activated, causing the filter blades to vibrate, shaking the filter cake off the filter screen and discharging it through the slag discharge port at the bottom of the tank.
