Electromagnetic equipment is a general term for various devices that work based on principles such as electromagnetic induction and the interaction of electromagnetic fields. Ranging from household induction cookers and headphones to nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) instruments and maglev trains, they all fall into the category of electromagnetic equipment. Its core advantages lie in efficient energy conversion, precise control, and contactless operation, which are widely used in key fields such as power transmission, medical diagnosis, industrial manufacturing, and communication and navigation, profoundly changing people's production and living styles.
In the field of scientific research, China has recently achieved a major breakthrough. On March 29, at the Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting, it was announced that a joint research team from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) had successfully developed a fully superconducting user magnet with a central magnetic field strength of 35.6 Tesla, breaking the world record held by the United States and establishing China's world-leading position in this field. The magnetic field strength of this "super magnet king" is more than 700,000 times that of the Earth's magnetic field, which can provide extreme experimental conditions for cutting-edge research such as material science and life science, helping to solve major research topics such as high-temperature superconductivity mechanisms and promote new drug research and development.

At the industrial application level, domestic electromagnetic equipment is accelerating its rise. China has become the world's largest transformer producer. Recently, overseas orders for domestic transformer enterprises have been continuously booming, and the production tasks of some enterprises have been scheduled until 2027. With the joint issuance of relevant implementation plans by four ministries and commissions, the promotion and application of new electromagnetic equipment such as high-efficiency energy-saving transformers and solid-state transformers will be further accelerated, providing strong support for power grid upgrading and energy storage development.
From the perspective of people's livelihood, electromagnetic equipment has long been integrated into daily life. Household electromagnetic appliances such as induction cookers and microwave ovens are convenient and efficient, becoming essential items in family kitchens; medical electromagnetic equipment such as NMR instruments realize non-invasive and precise diagnosis, improving the level of disease diagnosis and treatment; communication equipment such as mobile phones and Wi-Fi realize wireless transmission with the help of electromagnetic waves, ensuring information interconnection. The popularization of these equipment has truly made electromagnetic technology serve the public and improved the quality of life.
In the future, with the continuous breakthroughs in superconducting technology and wide-bandgap semiconductor technology, electromagnetic equipment will develop towards high power, miniaturization, and energy conservation. From scientific research equipment with higher magnetic field strength to more convenient livelihood products, electromagnetic technology will continue to penetrate various fields, injecting new momentum into China's scientific and technological self-reliance and industrial transformation and upgrading.
