Work Process
Slurry Feeding: The ore slurry is uniformly fed into the tank of the magnetic separator through the feed box.
Dispersion and Magnetization: Under the spraying action of the water supply pipeline, ore particles enter the feeding zone of the tank in a dispersed state. Magnetic particles are magnetized by the magnetic field, forming "magnetic agglomerations" or "magnetic chains."
Adsorption and Separation: Magnetic particles are attracted to the surface of the rotating drum by magnetic force, while non-magnetic or weakly magnetic particles remain in the slurry flow.
Magnetic Agitation and Release: Due to the alternating magnetic poles on the drum surface, the magnetic particles undergo constant agitation during rotation, dislodging entrained non-magnetic impurities.
Concentrate Discharge: The magnetic particles adhered to the drum are transported to a region with a weaker magnetic field as the drum rotates and are flushed into the concentrate tank by spraying water.
Tailing Discharge: Non-magnetic or weakly magnetic particles are discharged along with the slurry flow from the bottom of the tank as tailings.
