The magnetic field in a magnetic separator is generated within a permanent magnet. When material enters the magnetic field, it acts on it, separating it into two components: magnetic and non-magnetic. The magnetic field attracts magnetic materials to one side of the magnetic system, while non-magnetic materials are discharged to the other side.
